Fat Quarter Tuesday Pop-Ups with Carol Green

Tuesdays: 10am - 6pm

Final Week - August 20, 2019

Carol Green (long time Alaskan recently turned snowbird) will be popping in to gallery on Tuesdays with her ice dyed fat quarters, scarves, and table linens.

Carol learned about ice dying and fell in love! She started dyeing silk and bamboo scarves, then table linens and ladies tops. Then, while shopping for quilting fabric, a light bulb came on! Carol began to dye her own fabric for quilting and was able to create unique patterns in the exact colors she wanted.

She starts with 100% cotton fabric that is machine washed (hot water) and dried. She uses fiber reactive dyes which means the color bonds to the fabric ensuring vibrant, permanent color. Another hot-water machine wash with a detergent stabilizes the dye and removes any "loose" color. This fabric will not shrink or bleed.

Carol will have a great selection of "fat quarters" for quilters, sewers or textile artists.
